Laptop to another screen?

I'm planning to buy a 1 To 2 VGA Splitter Cable Lead 15 Pin Monitor LCD PC and another LCD Monitor screen for my Toshiba Satellite with an Intel GMA 4500M VGA. Is it possible that I can use two screens like graphic artists do? My laptop gives me what I need but it would be more great help if I could use two screens. Will this work?
