Matt Morris to the Mets?

First of all, the Cardinals did not trade Matt Morris to the Giants, he was a free agent. Second, I hope the Mets do sign him because that would be a true sign of absolute desperation on the part of the Mets and would lead me to believe that Oliver Perez, Joe Maine and John Pelphrey are as bad as I hope they are.
